bIRC 1.2.6 – A native IRC client for macOS

bIRC implements the IRC client protocol — RFC 1459 as updated by RFC 2812 — plus a wide range of IRCv3 extensions.

Messages: message tags and IDs, server-time, echo-message, labeled-response, standard replies, and batches.
History: CHATHISTORY with event playback, read markers (MARKREAD), multi-line messages, and message redaction.
Presence and membership: account-notify, account-tag, away-notify, extended-join, chghost, MONITOR (and extended-monitor), multi-prefix, userhost-in-names, invite-notify, setname, WHOX, bot mode, and account extbans.
Client tags: typing indicators, threaded replies with jump-to-parent, reactions, and channel-context.

Privacy: bIRC connects only to the servers it is configured with. No analytics, no tracking, no account. Remote content — avatars, inline images, link previews — is off by default; when enabled it is fetched over HTTPS, through a configured proxy if one is set.
